Do you like looking at pictures of dead things? Of course you do: We've already seen photos of the James Dean of TouchPads, but PreCentral dug up details on its actual specs and HP's plans for the tablet.
The 7-inch TouchPad had the same dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor as the 10-inch TouchPads—as well as the same 1024x768 resolution—1GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Adreno 220 GPU, 16GB or 32GB of onboard storage, GPS, (new to the 7-inch), a rear-facing 5MP camera (also new), a front-facing 1.3MP camera, and planned 3G/4G models. The camera and logo were also shifted so that the default orientation was landscape, instead of the iPad-like portraitness of the 10-inch TouchPad.
But probably the most amusing or horrible or without-a-doubt unfortunate bit of the post-mortem details is the tagline for the TouchPad Go's intended Fall 2011 launch: "Business never stops." Oy. [PreCentral via ZDnet]
